Clothing & Gear
We go outside every day, in all weather. To keep your child comfortable and safe, it’s essential to send the right gear each day. Learn how to prepare for summer heat, fall/spring transitions, and winter cold, then check our complete essentials list and product recommendations.
NOTES BEFORE YOU GEAR UP…
One is enough - you don’t need a wardrobe of gear - just one solid set that can handle daily use and keep your child comfortable.
Avoid cotton - Cotton holds moisture, making kids colder. Stick to 100% wool or synthetic materials to keep them warm and dry during the cold months.
Independence - every item we recommend is chosen to make dressing easier for your child (and for you!). When kids can put on their own gear, it builds confidence and independence.
Secondhand is smart - hand-me-downs, thrift store finds, or secondhand treasures are just as effective as brand-new gear (and they’re easier on your wallet and the planet).
We’re here to help - if you have questions, concerns, or need help getting the right gear, please reach out to us. We even have some loaner items we’d be happy to share!
